Platerly ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it.

This policy applies to:

  • Visitors browsing public menu pages on platerly.app
  • Owners, Managers, and Staff using the admin dashboard on portal.platerly.app

By using either platform, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2.Who We Are

Platerly is a multi-tenant SaaS platform that enables hospitality businesses to create and publish digital menus.

3.What Data We Collect

3.1 Account Holders (Owners, Managers, Staff — portal.platerly.app)

When you register or are invited to use the admin dashboard, we collect:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Password (stored encrypted — we never store plaintext passwords)
  • Role (Owner, Manager, Staff)
  • Account activity logs (logins, changes made to menus and products)
  • Billing information (handled by our payment processor — we do not store card details)
  • IP address and device/browser information at login

3.2 Business Data (submitted by Owners)

When an Owner creates a Business on the platform, they submit:

  • Business name, type, description
  • Address and contact information
  • Opening hours
  • Menu content: product names, descriptions, prices, ingredients, allergen flags, images
  • Branding assets: logo, cover image, colors
  • Social media links

This data is owned by the Tenant. We process it solely to operate the platform and display it on public menu pages.

3.3 Public Menu Visitors (platerly.app)

When a Visitor browses a public menu page, we may automatically collect:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type (mobile, desktop)
  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Referring URL
  • General geographic location (country/city level, derived from IP)

We do not require Visitors to create an account or submit any personal information to view a public menu.

8.International Data Transfers

Platerly operates globally. Your data may be processed or stored in countries outside your own, including countries that may have different data protection laws.

Where we transfer data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission
  • Transfers only to providers with equivalent data protection standards

9.Your Rights

  • Access controls — staff access to data is role-limited and logged

No system is 100% secure. If we become aware of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

11.Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

12.Third-Party Links

Public menu pages may contain links to external websites (social media profiles, Google Maps, business websites). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those external sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

13.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

For material changes, we will notify account holders via email or a prominent notice in the admin dashboard at least 14 days before the change takes effect.

Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
